About Liz...
I have been involved with yoga for about 14 years... Even after my first class, I knew I’d found something that had captured my interest.
I looked forward to my regular yoga classes, finding them of great benefit,
and particularly enjoyed the idea of ‘working’ the body in
a relaxed manner. After a few years, I enrolled on a part-time 3½
year yoga teaching course with the British Wheel of Yoga and gained my
diploma teaching qualification.
I still attend many courses and workshops which help develop my own
understanding of yoga. I've been fortunate to have had many teachers with
various styles / traditions, including Iyengar, Viniyoga, Astanga and
Anusara yoga. I started teaching in summer 1998 and have been learning
so much from teaching ever since... We learn so much from everyone - whether
they be other teachers or from students who attend class. As we experience
and learn about 'yoga' ... we can really appreciate that 'the more we
learn - the more we realise there is to learn!'
I aim to allow everyone their own ‘space’ in class –
with time to reflect, relax and renew the body. I also encourage students
to develop their own practice and interest in yoga, and arrange workshops for further exploration of various topics...
